Description

Windmill House is a late 18th-century house altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of chequer brick with a moulded plinth and eaves. The window sills are 19th-century stone, and the windows have brick and stone segmental heads with triglyph keyblocks. The roof is tiled, with brick chimneys positioned on either side. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with three bays. It has 19th-century sash windows, tripartite in the outer bays. The central door is set within a 19th-century stone architrave and hood with a broken pediment and entablature, supported by fluted stone brackets. A single-storey extension to the left, dating from the 19th century, has a slate roof that is hipped to the left, and contains one tripartite sash window. The building demonstrates group value.
