TURVILLE TURVILLE HEATH Turville Lodge (formerly listed as House approximately 100 yards north of Turville Park)

House. Late C18 with some c. 1800 Gothick details, altered and enlarged 1909. Original 2-bay cottage built of flint and brick; brick extensions; now all colourwashed. Tiled roofs, brick chimneys, 2 storeys, 3 x 3 bays. E. front has 1909 bay to right, and 1909 parapet and canted projections with leaded casements to outer bays. Centre bay has leaded casement with 4 pointed arched lights to first floor, and 1909 paired leaded casements flanking altered central door. 1909 flat porch canopy between canted bays. S. side is triple gabled, the left gable of 1909. Original right bay has French doors with Gothic glazing bars, and 3-light first floor casement with arched top lights and Gothic leading. Both these windows renewed c.1980, the casement moved from E. front 1909. Centre bay is mostly of brick and has external chimney, paired leaded casements to left, and single wooden light to right over Gothic door. Door has arched lower panels, leaded glazing, and geometric ornament in shallow tympanum.
