Description

Manor House is a house dating from the late 17th century and around 1790, with alterations made in the mid 19th century and a later addition in the mid 20th century. It is constructed of brick and has plain tile roofs, featuring a single gable and two ridge stacks. The building has two storeys plus attics and a façade with three windows on the left and two on the right.

The south front shows the original house on the left with three bays. To the right, there is a renewed door flanked by three-light casements under a flat hood, and a canted wooden bay window with three lights in the centre. To the left, there is another three-light casement. Above these, there are three three-light casements and three shouldered gabled dormers, each with a two-light casement. All of these windows have Gothick glazing bars.

To the right, there is a lower wing with three bays, featuring a window on the left and a mid 20th-century addition on the right, which includes a three-light window and a glazed door. Above this addition, there are two small casements and a larger 20th-century French window. Adjacent to the right is a range of 19th-century carriage houses, now used as garages, with two pairs of segment-arched double doors.

At the rear, there is a double gabled wing from the late 18th century, which has a small three-light Gothick casement on the first floor, flanked by large glazing bar sashes. The interior features late 17th-century chamfered spine beams with lamb's tongue stops, an inglenook fireplace, and on the first floor, a late 18th-century fireplace with a painted ashlar surround.
