Description

Jasmine Cottage is a house, built around 1800, and later used as a Methodist meeting house in the mid-19th century. It is located on Church Street, Lenton, Nottingham. The building is constructed of brick, with some areas painted, and has a slate roof with plain tile sections, along with two brick gable stacks. It features dentillated eaves and coped gables. The house is two storeys high and originally had a window range of two bays on the left and two bays on the right. The left-hand block has a central, mid-20th century glazed porch flanked by single, plain sash windows. Above these are two renewed windows. The block to the right is set back and has three casement windows on the ground floor and two similar windows above, all dating from the late 20th century. The left-hand gable, facing the street, has a central round-arched dummy window and a larger window to the left, with new glazing. A plaque is affixed to the front of the cottage.
