Description

The railings and gates at the school (No. 36) and school house in Lenton were built in 1841. They are made of cast iron and feature posts and gates set on a brick plinth with ashlar coping. The design includes spearhead railings and round posts topped with finials. The railing runs straight and parallel to the street for approximately 100 meters. There are single gates outside both the school and the school house, with an additional renewed gate to the right. These features are included for their group value.
