Description
Turville Grange Cottages is a pair of houses located in Turville Heath. The right-hand house, known as No. 1, dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of flint with narrow brick quoins and window surrounds. It features an old tiled roof and a rebuilt brick chimney on the left side. This house is two storeys tall with two bays, and has a narrow first-floor band course made of chequered brick and dentil eaves. The windows are three-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars, and there is a narrow 20th-century door to the right.
No. 2, on the left, was built in the early to mid-19th century and is made of knapped flint with brick dressings. It has a tiled roof and a central brick chimney. This house is also two storeys tall but has four bays. It features flush brick horizontal bands and bonded vertical strips, along with dentil eaves. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements similar to those in No. 1, with three-light casements in the central bays and two-light casements in the outer bays. There is a 20th-century door between the left bays and a two-light casement in a blocked doorway between the right bays. All ground floor openings have cambered heads.
