Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and restoration in the 20th century. It is constructed of gritstone rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with quoins at the corners. A 20th-century glazed door is located on the far left, set within a chamfered quoined surround. There are two 3-light flat-faced mullion windows in the centre and to the right, with 4-light and 3-light mullioned windows above. The end stacks have been rebuilt, with the left stack set inside the line of the gable.
