Description
Shiers Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two bays with slightly projecting quoins. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set in a projecting round-arched surround, complete with a keystone and a plain fanlight above. On either side of the door and on the first floor are flat-faced mullion windows with three stepped lights, which also have slightly projecting surrounds. The house has corniced end stacks and at the rear, there are two-light flat-faced mullion windows along with an added outshut. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
