Description
Milestone at Catch-all Farm is a milestone dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, made of gritstone. It is a large rectangular block, approximately 1 metre high and 60 centimetres wide. The east face features incised lower case lettering that reads: "To / Grassington / 2 miles / To Skipton / 8 miles," accompanied by two pointing hands. The west face has the inscription: "To / Kettlewell / ?9 miles / Threshfield / 1 mile," with one pointing hand. The stone appears to have been moved from its original position, which is marked on the Ordnance Survey map, approximately 50 metres north of Catch-all Farmhouse.
