Description
Threshfield Bridge is a bridge over Threshfield Beck, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rusticated punch-dressed ashlar. The bridge features a single segmental arch made up of large voussoirs and a keystone, with pilasters on either side that extend upwards as bollards to the parapet, which has incised horizontal tooling. There are cylindrical bollards at each end of the bridge. Records at Netherside Hall suggest that this bridge was built in 1816 by a member of the Nowell family.
