Description

The guide stone at the junction with Skythornes Lane is an early to mid-19th century structure made of gritstone. It has a triangular shape and stands approximately 60 centimetres high. The stone features carefully cut capital letters on its surfaces. The inscription on the left face reads "SKIRETHORNS / MALHAM / SETTLE," while the right face displays "KETTLEWELL / THRESHFIELD" along with two painted pointing hands.
