Description
Porridge Stoup is a milestone dating from 1730, as carved on the top. It is made of squared stone and features a well-cut open hand on each face, pointing to the right, below an inscription. The southwest face indicates "9 miles to Keighle(y)"; the southeast face states "3 miles to Skipton"; the northeast face reads "10 miles to Settle"; and the northwest face shows "8 miles to Coln".
