Description
Douk Ghyll Farmhouse is a farmhouse and garden wall built around 1800, with 20th-century alterations. The structure is made of squared limestone rubble with strap pointing and features millstone grit dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. It has a central staircase plan and stands two stories tall with three bays. The central entrance is located in a gabled porch added around 1970, which includes a glazed door. There are two ground floor windows and two upper floor windows on the outer sides, all of which are three-light with recessed flat-faced mullions. The center of the upper floor has a similar two-light window, with casements and fixed lights. The building is adorned with shaped modillions and gable end kneelers, as well as gable end coping and ridge stacks.
