Description
Farfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1775, with alterations from the 20th century. It is constructed from squared sandstone rubble with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building features a central staircase plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance has a plain surround and a dated lintel, with an early 20th-century half-glazed door. The ground floor has two windows, and the outer two upper floor windows have two-light recessed flat-faced mullions, with sashes that include glazing bars. The centre of the upper floor has a narrower single light sash window with glazing bars. The farmhouse is adorned with projecting quoins, wooden eaves modillions, shaped kneelers, gable end coping, and ridge stacks.
