Description
Cotesfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1830. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof featuring a stone ridge. The gables are stone coped with plain kneelers, and there are stone gable end stacks with plain bands. The building has two bays and three storeys, designed in an L-shape.
There are steps leading up to a slightly off-centre flush doorcase, which has a projecting lintel and quoins halfway up the jambs. On either side of the door, there are glazing bar sash windows in plain surrounds. Above the door, there are two similar sash windows, and above these, at the eaves, there is a shallower but similar window on the east side. On the west side, there is a 20th-century casement window in its original plain surround. The rear section features flush mullion windows and casements.
