Description

Pilsbury Grange is a late 18th-century farmhouse located in the Parish of Hartington Town Quarter. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. It has a graduated slate roof with stone coped gables featuring plain kneelers, along with one brick and one stone gable end stack, and a stone ridge stack. The farmhouse is three storeys high and four bays wide. A doorcase has flush bases, jambs, and lintel, topped with a bracketed stone hood, sheltering a 19th-century glazed and panelled door. To the west of the door is a two-light flush mullion window, and a similar window is located to the east. Above are three matching windows arranged similarly. A single-light window, set within a flush surround, sits above the door. Above that are four further windows to the eaves. All windows are 19th-century casements.
