Description
Pilsbury Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings and chamfered quoins. The roof is slate with a stone ridge, and there are stone gable end stacks featuring plain cornices. The eaves cornice is moulded and slightly projects at the corners, creating quasi-capitals to the quoins.
The building has three storeys and three bays. The central doorcase has stepped plain jambs and a lintel, topped with a bracketed, moulded pediment. The door is a glazed and panelled 19th-century design. On either side of the door, there are glazing bar sash windows in plain surrounds. Above this, there is a plain rubble stringcourse, followed by three similar windows. Above the eaves, there are three shallower sash windows. At the rear, there is a central transomed stair window with 2-light flush mullion windows on either side.
