Description

Knowsley Cross is a cross shaft and base, possibly from the 15th century or later. It is made of gritstone and features a three-tier, 19th-century stepped square base, which is inscribed with "RESTORED/ANNO DOMINI V 1897 R." Above this base is a rough-hewn square base block and a short square shaft that is slightly tapered.
