Description

Castle Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, which was restored in the 20th century. It is built of coursed limestone and sandstone rubble, with massive gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is made of stone slate. The cottage has two storeys and two bays. The entrance features an off-centre doorcase with a flush quoined surround and a 20th-century panelled door. On either side of the door, there are two-light flush mullion windows, also with quoined surrounds. Above, there are two similar windows.
