Description

No. 8 Chapel Street is a house dated 1774. It features an ashlar front with rusticated quoins, a blue machine tile and stone slate roof, and end stacks. The building is three storeys high with a three-window front and paired central entrances. It has a modillioned moulded eaves cornice and glazing bar sashes in raised surrounds. To the right, there is a moulded surround to a boarded door, which was formerly a window, and to the left, a moulded and quoined surround with an enlarged key and grounds, inscribed "W A 1774." The entrance includes a six-panelled door that is part-glazed.
