Description

Manor House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from 1714, which was later refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and chamfered quoins. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the north gable has a stone cope with a moulded kneeler. Stone gable end stacks are present, as is a moulded eaves cornice. The building has a double pile plan and a three-bay, double-fronted south elevation. The central entrance has a raised and fielded panelled door, with the two top panels glazed, set within a moulded surround on plain bases. A moulded hood is supported by stone brackets above the door, and the lintel is inscribed 'TC 1714'. Either side of the doorway are glazing bar sashes with long and short surrounds, and keystones. Three similar windows are positioned above. The side elevations feature three-light flush mullion windows.
