Description

The Whim Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Tagg Lane in the parish of Monyash. It is constructed from painted limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring stone gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a slightly off-centre doorcase that has plain jambs and a lintel, along with a moulded stone hood above it. On either side of the door, there are glazing bar sash windows set in plain surrounds, with two similar windows above. Inside, there is a large fireplace that includes a cast iron range.
