Description
White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1719, with alterations from the late 18th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of limewashed rubble with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building features a central staircase plan, is two storeys high, and has five bays. The central entrance is located in a gabled porch with a moulded surround and a decorated lintel that is dated and inscribed with "RL." The entrance includes a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed.
On the left side of the ground floor, there is a later 18th-century three-light flat-faced mullioned window. To the right on the ground floor, there are two two-light double-chamfered mullioned windows, while the upper floor has five similar but shorter windows. All windows have casements that were added around 1980. The building has gable-end and right of centre ridge stacks. The interior is not accessible.
