Description
New Field House is a farmhouse dated 1825, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of slobbered rubble with painted stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building features a central staircase plan and is two storeys high with two bays. The entrance, located to the right of centre, has plain jambs on square blocks, projecting impost blocks, and a plain lintel inscribed with "MP2." It is topped with a slate hood and has a 20th-century door. There are two windows on each storey, all with plain surrounds, projecting sills, and sashes that include glazing bars. A smaller, similar window is found on the left-hand side of the ground floor. The right-hand gable and ridge, as well as a stack to the left of centre on the ridge, complete the structure.
