Wall, gate piers & railings to south-west of Lytheside East Farmhouse

Forecourt wall and gatepiers with garden wall and railings. Probably early/mid C19. Drystone walls; coursed squared rubble with flat copings. Gatepiers of stone blocks. Wrought-iron railings with cast-iron posts. Forecourt wall c.4 ft high; gate piers c.8 ft high, square in plan, with chamfered plinth and cap and ball finial. Garden wall c.2 ft high surmounted by hooped railings c.1 ft high enclosing spearhead rod standards; ball finials to cast-iron posts separating railing sections. Walls adjoining east gate pier not of interest.
