Description

This is an 18th-century threshing barn situated within the farmyard to the west of Low Stennerskeugh farmhouse. The barn is constructed of slobbered rubble with quoins. The main roof is graduated slate, while the cart shed has a lean-to roof of graduated stone flags. The barn is two storeys high and comprises five bays. A plank door provides access to a wagon entrance, and another door serves as a byre entrance on the left side, both sheltered by slate canopies. A shouldered entrance is visible on the far left, leading to the cart shed. A plank door to the first floor is located on the right side. A lean-to outbuilding adjoining the north return wall is not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
