Description
The forecourt walls, railings, and gate located to the east of Low Stennerskeugh farmhouse were likely built in the early to mid-19th century. The walls are constructed from coursed squared rubble on the south return and north end, while the section opposite the house front features dressed ashlar. The cast-iron railings and gate complement the structure, with the rubble walls standing approximately 4 feet high and topped with flat copings. The ashlar wall is a single course and about 1.5 feet high. The railings and gate are adorned with spearhead standards and the gate-posts are topped with urn finials. This structure is included for its group value.
