Description

No. 10 Winchester Road is a building dating from around 1840. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The roof is moderately low pitched and hipped, recently covered with modern pantiles. The walls are made of flush flints, which are galleted with flint chips. The building has alternating brick quoins and door and window jambs, which are now painted white, along with the gauged brick window arches. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars.

There are two steps leading to the door, which consists of two flat and four fielded panels, topped with a reeded cornice head and a patterned rectangular fanlight set in a panelled reveal. The door is framed by a reeded architrave with paterae at the corners. A cornice hood, featuring an acorn pattern, is supported by two pairs of curved wooden brackets and one pair of wrought iron brackets.
