Description
Rushes Farmhouse is a late 17th century or early 18th century double-fronted house that stands two storeys high and features three windows beneath a high-pitched, tiled roof. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is finished in painted brick. The house has recessed, late 19th century sash windows. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels set in a panelled reveal, adorned with a reeded architrave that includes paterae at the corners and a replaced cornice hood. Inside, the ground floor rooms contain some massive beams, an inglenook fireplace, and two old plank doors with strap hinges, one of which has an ancient rim lock.
