Description

THE SPAIN 1. 1501 (North Side) No 15 SU 7423 3/32 II 2. C17 timber-framed house with alterations. 2 storeys, 3 windows. High pitched, half hipped, tiled roof with large, offset chimney at right. Tile hung lst floor. Visible square framing with brick filling on reveals. Ground floor of brick with some ironstone in lower courses, supported at right side by 2 massive, sloping brick buttresses. Canted bay added through full height at centre front under tile-hung gable. Windows renewed leaded casements. New steps to new door left of centre. Additions to rear, recent but in traditional materials and style.
