Description

2A, The Spain is a late 16th or early 17th century building, situated continuously with No. 26 Sheep Street. It is a two-story building with one window, featuring a steeply pitched tiled roof. The pebble-dashed walls retain evidence of an earlier jettied front. A rendered plinth is present. The first floor has a horizontal sliding sash window. The ground floor has replaced sash windows and a plain plank door, both set within box frames. It forms a group with Nos. 2 and 4 The Spain, Nos. 24 and 25 The Square, and Nos. 2 to 26 (even) Sheep Street.
