Description
26 Sheep Street is a late 16th century or early 17th century cottage that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has a high-pitched, tiled roof. The exterior is currently pebbledashed with mock timber detailing on the ground floor, but it still shows evidence of a jettied front. The first floor has early 19th century one-bar, two-light casement windows, while the ground floor is fitted with horizontal sliding sashes. The entrance has a plain plank door set in a deep wood reveal. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 26 (even) Sheep Street, Nos 24 and 25 The Square, and Nos 2A, 2, and 4 The Spain.
