Description

The Spain is an early 19th-century cottage located on the north side, featuring two storeys and two windows. It has a hipped slate roof with a moderately low pitch and a stuccoed front. The cottage has replaced sash windows set in flush moulded frames, except for a canted oriel bay with a dentil cornice on the ground floor to the right. The door consists of two glazed panels, two fielded panels, and two beaded panels, topped with a cornice head and a rectangular fanlight, all within a panelled reveal. The door is framed by a reeded architrave with paterae at the corners and has a cornice hood supported by curved brackets. The building forms a group with No 17 Sheep Street.
