Description
The gates and gate piers located 15 meters southeast of Avington Lodge date from the early 19th century. They feature cast iron gates set between stuccoed brick piers. The central carriage gate is designed with light spear-railing and is accompanied by a similar pedestrian gate, flanked by rectangular open-work posts that resemble lanterns. The piers are rectangular, with chamfered corners, rustication, and topped with ball finials on the coping. Light spear railing is present outside the piers.
