PARISH OF ALDWARK Former farmhouse to the north west of Green Farm

Former farmhouse, now outbuilding and store. 1686. Coursed rubble limestone with dolomitic limestone dressings. Coped gable to north east end, moulded kneelers, off-centre brick stack, plain tiled roof. Central lobby entrance plan. Two storeys, two bays, irregular elevation, with south west end altered to form outbuilding. Two-light C17 chamfer mullioned window to north east side, and above inserted two-light flush mullioned opening. Central doorway with massive chamfered quoins to surround and lintel bearing inscription 1686. Above doorway square block with carved rounder. South west side has two window openings and an inserted doorway. South west gable has stub of former ridge stack. North east gable has blocked two-light chamfer mullioned window. C17 five window to rear elevation. Interior massive stone baffle to entry, contemporary hearth, and plain bressumer. Ceiling beam to north east room chamfered and stopped.
