Description
The former farmhouse, now used as an outbuilding and store, dates back to 1686. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with dolomitic limestone dressings. The building features a coped gable at the north-east end, moulded kneelers, an off-centre brick stack, and a plain tiled roof. It has a central lobby entrance plan and is two storeys high with two bays, although the south-west end has been altered to create an outbuilding.
On the north-east side, there is a two-light 17th-century chamfered mullioned window, with an inserted two-light flush mullioned opening above it. The central doorway is framed by massive chamfered quoins and a lintel that bears the inscription "1686." Above the doorway is a square block with a carved roundel. The south-west side has two window openings and an inserted doorway. The south-west gable shows a stub of a former ridge stack, while the north-east gable has a blocked two-light chamfered mullioned window. The rear elevation features a 17th-century five-window arrangement.
Inside, there is a massive stone baffle at the entry, a contemporary hearth, and a plain bressumer. The ceiling beam in the north-east room is chamfered and stopped.
