Description
The Toll Bar Cowshed, originally a tollgate cottage, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble, with some areas rendered and features gritstone dressings. The building has a plain tile roof and stone coped gables with kneelers. This long, low single-storey structure has a south elevation that includes an off-centre doorcase topped with a flat stone hood supported by a single stone bracket. There are two chamfered mullion windows—one with three lights and another with two lights—along with a single light window. This building is included in the register for its group value context.
