Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a cottage built in 1861. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with plain and stone coped gables that have kneelers. There is a brick stack at the gable end. The cottage is two storeys tall and has a T-plan layout. The west elevation has two bays, with a central doorway that has a projecting stone surround and a 20th-century glazed door. On either side of the doorway are 3-light recessed chamfer mullion windows with diamond and octagonal patterned glazing bars. Above, there are two similar 2-light windows, and in the centre, there is a datestone dated 1861. The cottage is listed for its group value only.
