Description
Hall Well is an 18th-century well located on the east side of Rakes Lane in the parish of Tissington. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. The well features a semi-circular arch with plain imposts and a raised outer moulding, along with a half dome behind it. There is a flat plinth inside, which includes a small semi-circular arch leading to the well. The structure is inscribed with "RESTORED 1861 by J HARDY."
