Description
Whitelow Farmhouse and outbuildings date from the early 19th century and are constructed under a continuous roof. The buildings are made of coursed limestone rubble with flush gritstone dressings and quoins. They feature a plain tile roof with a stone ridge on the outbuildings, and the gables are stone coped with kneelers and brick gable end stacks. The farmhouse is double fronted and has two storeys.
On the south elevation, there is a central gabled porch, a single-light window to the west, and a two-light flush mullion window with a cast iron small paned frame to the east. Above, there are similar windows arranged in the same way. Inside, the farmhouse includes a bracketed stone fireplace with a range. Attached to the west is a barn that is twice the length of the house, featuring three doors with massive quoin surrounds.
