PARISH OF WINSTER BANK TOP Old Parish Poorhouse

II House. C18 with C19 refashioning. Coursed squared gritstone front, rendered rubble elsewhere, with quoins, plain gables, intermediate and end ashlar ridge stacks, stone slates and plain clay tiles. L- plan. Two storeys, three bays, with two-light flush mullioned windows, beneath semi-circular heads, with keyblocks, and with single glazing bar sashes. Single light opening above doorway, both openings with semi-circular heads and keyblocks, doorway with plain planked door. Single storey lean-to to south west end with stone slated roof. Formerly the parish poorhouse.
