Description

This is a railway bridge, formerly a railway bridge, built around 1830. It features rock-faced squared coursed limestone abutments and fish-bellied cast iron beams that support wooden decking. Above the decking are 20th-century metal railings. This bridge is an early example of cast iron used for structural purposes and is listed for its historic interest as part of the Cromford and High Peak Railway.
