Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was remodeled in the 19th century. It is constructed from random limestone rubble with quoins and features 19th-century dressings in gritstone. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a gable end brick stack along with a projecting brick eaves band. The building has two storeys and a three-bay front, designed with an end lobby entrance plan. A baffle is still in place. The entrance has a chamfered doorcase with a massive lintel and quoins, leading to a 20th-century glazed door. On the west side, there is a low three-light chamfered mullion window and a chamfered opening with 20th-century casements, along with a small window above the door. Additionally, there are two 19th-century windows of different sizes on the west side.
