Description
Dragon Cottages are 17th-century cottages that were remodeled in the 18th century. They are built from coursed, squared limestone and feature slightly projecting quoins, a first-floor band, window surrounds, and a coved eaves band. The gables are stone-coped with moulded kneelers, and the roof is covered with plain tiles. There are two stone ridge stacks, with the central stack being significantly larger. The plinth on the west side diminishes towards the east.
The cottages are two storeys high with attics and have a five-bay front. On the ground floor, there are three windows with 20th-century casements and an off-centre doorcase. To the east, a 20th-century glazed door has been inserted into a former window opening. Above, there is a central blocked 2-light mullioned window, with two glazing bar sashes to the east and two 20th-century casements to the west. A 2-light recessed mullion window is located in the east gable wall.
