Description
This is an 18th-century house located on Town Street in Brassington. The external walls are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with flush gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are two brick chimneys: one on the gable end and another rendered stack near the ridge. The house has three storeys and a three-bay front. It originally featured three two-light mullioned windows, with one blocking the location of a former central doorcase. A projecting 20th-century glazed porch now covers the central doorway, and a further door is located to the south. Above the two ground floor windows are paired two-light mullioned windows stacked vertically to create a four-light mullioned and transomed window spanning two floors. A single two-light mullioned window is positioned on the north side.
