Description

This is a lead miners' cottage dating from the 18th century, located behind Wash Hills Farm in Brassington. The building is constructed from squared coursed limestone rubble, featuring quoins and flush dressings. It has a plain tile roof with stone coped gables and kneelers. The cottage is three storeys high with a single bay front. It includes 2-light mullioned windows on the ground and first floors, and smaller, chamfered windows at the eaves, which have leaded lights. There is a single storey projection on the west gable wall.
