Description

Rake House Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a rendered front elevation and gritstone dressings, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring two brick ridge stacks. The building has a double pile plan with gables on the front elevation. It is two storeys high, double fronted, and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a glazed panelled door, which is topped by a stone hood supported on brackets. On either side of the door are casement windows with plain surrounds. Above the door, there is a single light stair window flanked by casement windows. The rear elevation shows the blocked remains of a 17th-century recessed and chamfered mullion window.
