Description
Sycamore Farm is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone quoins and features gritstone dressings. It has a plain tile roof with brick gable end stacks and coped gables. The farmhouse is two storeys high with a three-bay front. An off-centre doorcase, which has massive quoins, holds a 19th-century glazed door that is raised and fielded. On either side of the door are two-light recessed and chamfered mullioned windows with leaded casements, each topped with hoodmoulds. To the north, there is a single light firewindow with a hoodmould. Above, there are three recessed, chamfered openings at the eaves with leaded casements, the southernmost of which has a central mullion.
