Description
Pleasant House is an 18th-century house with a 19th-century addition, located on the east side of Miners Hill in Brassington. The building is constructed from squared coursed limestone, featuring flush dressings and quoins, and has a slate roof with stone-coped gables and kneelers. There are two brick stacks at the gable ends. The house has a projecting eaves band and is three storeys tall with a double front.
On the ground floor, there are two 2-light flush mullion windows on either side of a central doorcase, which contains a 20th-century glazed door. Above the door, there is a single light stair window, and similar windows are found on either side. The eaves feature two smaller 2-light flush mullioned windows. To the east, there is a two-storey 19th-century addition that has a door below and a margin light sash window above.
