Description
Netherton Hall is a farmhouse dated 1684, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. It features a plain tile roof and a rendered central stack, with bargeboards on the gables of the end walls. The building is L-shaped, three storeys high, and has a two-window front.
On the south elevation, there is a former off-centre door with a lintel inscribed with the date 1684, which has been filled in with a 2-light flush mullion window. To the west, there is a 18th-century doorcase, while to the east, there is a 4-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with small paned casements. A continuous drip moulding runs over all openings, stepping over the dated lintel. Above the original door, there is a sundial and a blocked single light stair window. To the east, there is a recessed and chamfered opening with a deeper 20th-century window, and to the west, a recessed and chamfered opening with a central flush mullion. A continuous stringcourse runs above, with two 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows above that.
