Description
Crowtrees Farmhouse and outbuildings date from the 18th century, with an earlier core. The structure is built of coursed limestone rubble with flush dressings and features a plain tile roof and brick gable end stacks. It is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The south elevation has an off-centre doorcase with a plain lintel and a panelled door. On either side of the door are 2-light flush mullion windows with six-pane casements. Above, there are three similar windows. To the west, there is a single-storey outshut. The rear elevation includes a 2-light chamfered mullion window. To the east, there is a stepped range of outbuildings. Closest to the house is a lower two-storey building with various irregular openings, and further west is a single-storey piggery. There are two low doorways and two walled enclosures, each featuring feeding troughs set in recessed openings with pierced stone slabs, positioned vertically to allow feeding from outside the enclosure.
